This card was printed on our Chandler and Price platen letterpress. What is letterpress, you ask? Basically, letterpress is a giant, heavy (often cast iron) machine that pushes an inked, raised surface into some paper. It's how things were printed before lasers and computers. Traditionally, letterpress have names like boats do. Ours is named after a boat- Stancomb Wills. The boat Stancomb Wills was named after a person named Stancomb Wills. I don't know where he got his name.
